Gujarati Film “Chhello Divas” to release worldwide on Nov 20, 2015

My blog is the “Blog Partner” for this movie! Read the announcement here. Happy reading!

Above and beyond books and marks, there is a lot more to college life. The pranks of the last bench, stalking random girls, the late night maggi, copying assignments, troubling professors, and well, making friends. While we are in college, we live all these as casual moments, only to realize after few years that we had made memories and friends for lifetime. When I saw the trailer of the upcoming Urban Gujarati Movie Chhello Divas, it reminded me of my MBA days at Symbiosis. In those 2 minutes of the trailer, I could recollect the marvelous moments of those 2 years which I shall cherish and miss for lifetime.

At times, you see things that take you back to the good old college days and you are stuck in the memory lane for a rather long time. That is exactly what this movie trailer did to me. I ended up forwarding it to a lot of my friends. These WhatsApp groups have certainly made our lives easy! And I was not surprised that all my friends had a similar reaction to the trailer – “aa toh aapdi college life jevuj movie chhe”! Yes. The trailer has been able to connect with people and their college lives. And hey, I even got responses from Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada and Marathi speaking friends, afterall, Gujarati isn’t a tough language to understand. Later on, I went on to the Facebook Page and YouTube Channel of the movie to realize that it has been getting fabulous responses from everywhere. The likes, shares and views count have been seeing a steep growth day on day. In just 15 days of the launch of the trailer, it was viewed by over 3 LAKH people! And that count does not include the shares and views on WhatsApp. So yes, the movie trailer has broken the language barrier and has been accepted by almost everyone. Especially the Gujju’s “aa toh aapduj film chhe ne”!

I went on to buzz Mr. Vaishal Shah, the Creative Producer of this movie and an extremely enthusiastic man, to ask his journey of the movie and what unique can one expect in it. He says “This Urban Gujarati movie is here to create a niche in the industry. We have used the best of the technology, high end camera’s and hired finest of the crew. All of our crew is from Mumbai and are seasoned with the Film Industry. Moreover, we have paid great detail to every scene and ensured that it is a visual delight to the viewers. The movie has been made to perfection.”

The rich quality of the trailer indeed compliments with his take. I then got in touch with two of the actors of the movie to know their viewpoint and here is what they have to say.

Mr. Yash Soni, debuting with this movie, says “Very much excited ofcourse as it is my first feature film. It was great fun to shoot Chhello Divas. A new beginning of an aura of friendship is coming soon.”

Certainly Yash, the last day of college is certainly saddening but it definitely takes the bond of friendship to another level.

Then I got in touch with Mr. Mitra Gadhvi and he says “I am playing LOY… And every college group ma ‘Loy Hoy Chhe’ – who considers himself to be a HERO but infact is a ZERO! Very much excited for the movie.”

Well, Mitra might be playing the ‘Zero’ character in the reel life, but in real life, he is a surely a ‘Hero’. He had captured everyone’s mind space and received appreciation for his role in the movie Bas Ek Chance and my past blog on that movie says it all about him.

The Director of the movie is Mr. Krishnadev Yagnik and star cast of the movie is Yash Soni, Malhar Thakar, Janki Bodiwala, Mitra Gadhvi, Kinjal Rajpriya, Aarjav Trivedi, Rahul Raval, Netri Trivedi, Mayur Chauhan,  Prapti Ajwalia, Prashant Barot and Jitendra Thakkar. I’ll give a detailed review of their performances after I watch the movie. If there is a pre-screening/preview, you might get to read it on the release date itself, or else, a day or two after the release.

Release. Oh yes. How can I miss out on that? Perhaps, the first time in Dhollywood, i.e., the Gujarati Film Industry, we will see a movie being launched worldwide on the SAME DATE! Yes you read it right and I am not kidding. So get set folks, 20th November 2015 is not far away. And hope you get your seats reserved, ‘housefull thayi jaase toh’?
