Last month, an interesting announcement in the literature circles of Ahmedabad took the city by a storm. A book was launched, titled “ચીઝ ઢેબરાં” by the author Devanshu Pandit, popularly known as Adhir Amdavadi. Let me decipher the book title for you all:
ચીઝ ઢેબરાં in English is Cheese Dhebra, and they have modified it a bit to make it as ‘Cheeze Dhebra’. For many of you out there who do not understand the title yet, Dhebra is a Gujarati food item made of pearl millet flour.
Written in Gujarati, the book promises endless humor to its readers and is a promising read. From the first look of the book to its marketing, everything seems to be done aptly. Mr. Devanshu Pandit is very popular amongst the social media circle and is also a columnist with the NavGujarat newspaper. He is an alumni of Texas A&M University in Construction Management.
About the book:
It is available across several leading bookstores of Gujarat. To buy online,
I believe that writing humor is one of the toughest tasks and I really appreciate Mr. Pandit’s efforts of coming up with this book. Though I haven’t read it yet, I will do it soon and post a review. I really wish to read the English translated version of this book as well.
