Long gone are the days when having a mobile phone was a luxury and laptops were a product that a lot of us fancied. Scenario has changed now and a mobile phone (a smart-phone rather) has become a bare necessity. Laptops, Tablets and other accessories have become a casual affair. A lot of factors have contributed to this – increasing disposables incomes, awareness in the youth, higher inflow to metro cities, higher penetration of internet etc. With all these factors leading to a higher usage of mobiles, laptops, tablets etc., users are spoilt for choices and there are multiple options for one to buy these products from, for every kind of budget. At a low budget of Rs. 3000 to a budget that depends on how deep your pocket is, users get to choose from a wide variety of products. Now, all these products are just few clicks away from the comfort of your bedroom owing to the advent of e-commerce in India. In this era of cluttered competition, I recently came across AspectWise website, and found it wise to tell you all about it.

AspectWise is a startup of an IIT Alumni. The website has been started to help people in figuring out which electronic device (Mobile / Tablet / Headphone etc.) to buy based on their needs and preferences. They use Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence to generate a summarized view of the hundreds of user reviews for any product, so that one can make a well-informed purchasing decision within a matter of seconds, and avoid regretting later. They show genuine user opinions and derived ratings about each aspect of a gadget, and also how it compares to the user opinions on other products in a similar price range. You can now very easily use the wisdom of crowds to make the right choice for yourself.

A cousin of mine recently got her results and her dad decided to gift her a laptop. That’s how I landed up on this website and got amazed by its features. When I went to the laptop tab of their website, it asked me for the price range and I put in between Rs. 25000 to Rs. 75000. Post that, it asked me to choose from 6 options:

  • Heavy User
  • Design Fan
  • Comfort Conscious
  • Video Buff
  • Gamer
  • Camera Lover

Since my cousin is a hardcore gamer, I went on to that section and got the Best Laptops for Gamers:

The link post that gave me all the options of the laptops. The reviews and ratings were neatly classified as per the feature, e.g.:

  • Gaming
  • Build quality
  • Performance
  • Graphics etc.

Check out the laptop review below:

One can easily check out the reviews and the ratings. The website loads very fast, is aesthetically appealing and is mobile friendly. While the results are displayed, we can filter it by brand, display size, OS etc. Also, the results can be viewed by price and aspects.

I would highly recommend this to all of you while you go for the next electronics purchase!
